The determination of the bottomhole pressure in a producing well is very important. A non-foamy fluid level and casing pressure are used to determine the producing bottomhole producing pressure, and when used in conjunction with the static bottomhole pressure, an IPR curve can be developed which is the first step to optimizing production rates from any producing well.
